The Orpheo Bassoon features a revolutionary design for bassoons. It is an instrument of rich tonal quality and superb intonation. Each ORPHEO bassoon is crafted by the most skilled and gifted artisans with great attention to detail and key adjustment. All keys and pads are hand-assembled for a tight and secure fit. At a normal selling price of $3495.00 this is the bassoon bargain of the century! This Orpheo Bassoon features a high D key, covered wing joint, 3rd finger hole with plateau key, left hand whisper key connected to the low E key, automatic G-ring key, F/G# roller keys, F#/G# trill key. All posts are set with epoxy and spring posts are locked with screws. The body is made of patented resonite fusion, a 21 century composite compound selected for its Maple wood sound quality, intonation, response, ease of maintenance and durability. With our compound there is no loss in sound over Maple, plus there is no reason to ever worry about cracking. You will likely find it to be richer and have less troublesome register changes than wood. The bottom boot cap is removable to allow a water key to empty excess moisture in the boot. 18% nickel silver key castings are used along with Nickel silver hinges and machined parts. A Deluxe Plush lined case with case cover and generous cloth blanket are included. In addition each bassoon is supplied with 2 bocals, strap, wooden crutch, silk swab, and a seat strap. The Orpheo Bassoon comes with our complete 2 year warranty and each bassoon is thoroughly tuned and checked prior to leaving the factory.

The Vento 800 Series Model 8813 Bassoon. You will have a hard time deciding whether you are more amazed at the quality of our Vento ABS resin bassoon or its unbelievably low price. This bassoon has sturdy nickel silver keys with nickel plating, a body lock for the wing and long joint, C# trill key, F# trill key, a high D key and two bocals. It's not very often you see these advanced trill and high note keys on such a reasonably priced bassoon. We include a sturdy wood shell case with protective nylon zipper bag, a seat strap, reed case and cleaning cloth.
